[News] Kobe Bryant Torches NY Knicks for 61 Points

After 6 straight home wins the NY Knicks win streak was snapped last night by Kobe Bryant and the L.A. Lakers. Kobe Bryant put on a show for the ages, scoring 61 points without missing one free throw. The Knicks were able to stay in the game through three quarters but Kobe was completely unstoppable and was the difference in the game. His 61 Points is a record for anyone in Madison Square Garden, surpassing the legend Michael Jordan's classic performance. With the Cleveland Cavs & Boston Celtics coming to the garden this week, the Knicks are gonna have to step up their defensive play.

[Video] NY Knicks Victory Over Chicago Bulls

After dropping the previous two games to the Wizards & Sixers the Knicks rebounded yesterday afternoon with a victory over the Chicago Bulls. The Knicks held the lead through three quarters, but the game remained close at the end. Former Chicago Bull, Chris Duhon's lay-up with 31 seconds left proved to be the difference in the game, earning the Knicks a 102-98 victory. A couple side notes: Rookie Danilo Gallinari has played the past couple games and has looked somewhat impressive in his limited minutes. C Eddy Curry remains sidelined with soreness in both knees. Exiled guard Stephon Marbury has offered to return $1 million of his salary in hopes of coming to terms on a buy-out with Knicks president, Donny Walsh.

After last nights 128-122 victory over the Washington Wizards, the Knicks now find themselves on a two game winning streak. I know it doesn't compare to the Boston Celtics 19 game win streak earlier this season, but it's certainly a start. Knicks were led by David Lee's 30 points but also got major contributions from Quentin Richardson & Al Harrington as they combined for 53 points and shot 10-13 from three-point territory. I couldn't call this a statement game since the Wizards have a worse record then the Knicks but lets hope they can keep up the solid play.

[Video] Highlights of NY Knicks Victory Over NO Hornets

Since the NY Giants let me down big time last sunday, I figured I'd start showing more support for the underrated NY Knicks. So after each victory (which haven't been coming too often lately) I'll be posting a video of the highlights from the game. Last night the Knicks defeated the New Orleans Hornets, ended their losing skid at 3 games, and improved to 14-22 on the year. Their next game is Wednesday night at the Garden against the Washington Wizards.
