[Audio] New York Hip-Hop Drop

With the South & West coast taking over our local radio stations, I felt it was necessary to give my blog viewers a taste of some real NY hip-hop. I feel as if one's rhyming ability is overshadowed by their beat selection. If you manage to come across a catchy beat with radio appeal, you have a strong chance of becoming a known artist. Being that I'm from New York I felt it was time to spotlight some of NY's legendary artists still puttin' it down today. Included in this post are new tracks from Ali Vegas, Blaq Poet, Cappadonna, DJ Premier, Freddie Foxx (Bumpy Knuckles), Keith Murray, Nas, The RZA, Ghostface Killah, & Kool G Rap. Just to be sure every borough was represented, I threw in a bonus Jay-Z joint.

The video comes just in time for the Presidential Inauguration which will be held Jan. 20th in Washington D.C. [Audio] Nas - Fear of Mandingo x Something Foul

Here goes some unreleased material from Nas, left off of his latest album, N-Untitled. The first track is titled, "Fear of Mandingo" and is produced by DJ Green Lantern. It was recently featured on DJ 31 Degreez' new mixtape, Eldorado Black Project, but had annoying drops all over it. Another track titled, "Livin' It" was also released on that mixtape but the tagless version has not surfaced yet, I'll be sure to post it when it does. The second track is titled, "Something Foul" and was released a lil while ago with Tapemaster Inc. tags on it. If you didn't catch my drift already, both tracks are tagless, the way they should be. Anyway, there are no plans for Nas to release another album this year, so we'll just have to wait and see what he has in the works.

[Audio] Kevin Rudolf - NYC x Welcome To The World

Here is a new track from rock artist Kevin Rudolf, off his debut album, In The City. This dude has built a strong buzz with his hit single, "Let It Rock" featuring Lil' Wayne and has worked with several other prominent hip-hop artists as well. The album will be out November 25th through Cash Money/Universal Republic Records. Shouts to OnSmash for the linkage.
